Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has revealed the biggest problem so far. On 8 May, the match being played between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in Dharamshala was stopped and then suspended due to security reasons. It is being told that after the increased tension on the border, BCCI immediately stopped the match and evacuated the stadium.

According to the TOI report, all the players, support staff and broadcast team are now being taken from Dharamshala to a safe place.

BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla’s statement

BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla said on this issue that the future of the tournament will depend on the situation. Talking to Ti, Shukla said, “We have arranged a special train from Dharamshala, so that everyone can be safely sent to their homes. We will decide how to make the tournament forward, we will decide tomorrow after seeing the situation. At present, the safety of the players is most important.”

On the other hand, both the teams involved in the match have been taken to a safe hotel and now they are waiting for further instructions. But, now the question is arising whether the rest of the matches in North India will be able to be according to their scheduled schedule or not. Especially on May 9, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are to be competed in Lucknow, which is everyone’s eye.

What will happen to LSG vs RCB match?

According to the PTI report, on the RCB vs LSG match, the IPL chairman said, “It is still going on, but obviously it is an emerging situation.”

BCCI has not yet made any official announcement about this match. This match is to be held in Lucknow, but the city has been kept on red alert due to Operation Sindoor. However, the situation there is a bit calm from Dharamshala, but the board is constantly in touch with security agencies.

At the moment, this match between LSG and RCB remains in the schedule, but fans and teams may have to be ready for change in the last time if the situation is worse. The official update is expected to come from BCCI in the next 24 hours.
