LSG’s magnificent victory by 12 runs; Mumbai Indians suffer third defeat of the season.

The 16th match of IPL 2025 was played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians. Lucknow’s team batting first and losing 8 wickets, scored 203 runs on the board. In response, Mumbai team could score 191 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs and Lucknow registered a stunning victory by 12 runs. This is LSG’s second win in the season and Mi’s third defeat.

Mitchell Marsh and Eden Markram played half -century innings

Batting first against Mumbai Indians, the Lucknow Super Giants started quite good. Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram shared a 76 -run partnership for the first wicket. Marsh scored 60 runs in 31 balls with the help of 9 fours and 2 sixes.

At the same time, Eden Markram scored 53 runs in 38 balls with the help of 2 fours and 4 sixes. Nicholas Puran (12) and Rishabh Pant (2) also flopped in this match. Lucknow Ayush Badoni (30) and David Miller (27) reached the score of 203 due to precious innings.

Lucknow bowled brilliantly in death overs

Mumbai Indians had a poor start, chasing a target of 204 runs against Lucknow. The team lost the wicket of both openers on a score of 17.
