Delhi: Veteran wicketkeeper batsman and former South African coach Mark Boucher made a big statement before the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final. He said that if South Africa wins the WTC title this time, then it can prove to be a new beginning for Test cricket in the country, which will open the doors of the national team for young players.
It is worth noting that the final match of the World Test Championship 2023-25 will be played between Australia and South Africa at Lord’s Cricket Ground from June 11.
Boucher said during a conversation with ESPN Cricinfo, “Many people have criticized South Africa, which I do not seem to be completely appropriate. We were required to defeat the teams against whom we played against and we have shown it, so we have reached the finals.
