Delhi: Former Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson has reacted to the altercation between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mitchell Starc during the Perth Test. Johnson described the Australian team’s response as weak and said that the team should have shown more aggression instead of being overwhelmed by a 22-year-old player.

Yashasvi taunted Starc in Perth Test
In the second innings of Perth Test, Yashasvi Jaiswal batted aggressively against Mitchell Starc. During this, Jaiswal not only hit brilliant shots but also taunted Starc on his bowling speed. Jaiswal said, “The ball is coming very slow.”
It is not right to be sledged by the Indian opener.
On this incident, Johnson wrote in his column for The West Australian, “As an outsider, I would like to see a little more stamina from this Australian team. It is not right that a young debutant Indian opener challenges our team on their home ground and sledges Mitchell Starc.
Although Mitchell Starc took two wickets in the first innings, the Indian batsmen neutralized his bowling in the second innings. Jaiswal’s aggressive batting had put pressure on other Australian bowlers including Starc.
Johnson warned Australia
Johnson also said that in the second Test starting from December 6 in Adelaide, Australia will have to dominate from the beginning of the match. He warned that if the team is not able to put pressure on India in the beginning, it may be difficult to make a comeback in the series. According to Johnson, “The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is not over, but Australia will have to make a strong start.”
