Delhi: Australian selectors have announced a 16 -member T20 team for the upcoming tour of the West Indies. The T20 series of five matches will be played next month in Jamaica and St. Kitts, the command of which has been handed over to star all -rounder Mitchell Marsh.

Marsh is currently in great form and he performed tremendously in the recently ended IPL 2025 for Lucknow Super Giants (LAG). He scored 627 runs, including his first IPL century. Now he will once again return to the national team and play the role of leadership.

This time many new faces have got a chance in the team. Mich Owen, who batted brilliantly for Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League (BBL), has been included in the Australian T20 team for the first time. He scored the most runs in the BBL season and scored an explosive innings of 108 runs off just 42 balls in the final, which caught the attention of the selectors.

At the same time, left -arm spin bowler Matt Kuhneman has also got a place in the T20 team for the first time. The spin department is expected to get strengthened by their selection.
