Delhi: Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has revealed how he reacted when Indian batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal sledged him during the first Test played in Perth. The incident happened when Jaiswal took a jibe at Starc in the second innings, saying he was bowling “very slow”.

Starc doesn’t do much sledding anymore
There was a mild argument between Jaiswal and Starc in this match held at Optus Stadium. Referring to Jaiswal’s comment, Starc said that he was amused to hear it. The fast bowler told that he does not do much sledging anymore and just enjoys the game. He said, “I asked Jaiswal where his flick shot went, and he laughed at it. After this we ended the matter there.”

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored the first Test century of his career in the second innings of the Perth Test. He played an innings of 161 runs in 297 balls, which included 13 fours and three sixes. His innings played an important role in giving India a big win by 295 runs.

Mitchell Starc praised Jaiswal and called him one of the most fearless batsmen of this generation. He said, “Jaiswal will play a lot of cricket for India and will be successful. Understanding the circumstances in the second innings, he adapted himself and played brilliantly.”
