For this reason Shami will not be sold for a big amount in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Sanjay Manjrekar while talking on Star Sports said,

There will certainly be interest from teams, but given Shami’s injuries – and this latest one took a long time to heal – there is always concern about a possible breakdown during the season. If a franchise invests heavily and then loses it mid-season, their options become limited. Due to this concern they will not be sold for a large amount.
