Delhi: Famous cricketer MS Dhoni’s name has surfaced in a big real estate scam. This scam is related to Tamil Nadu company G Square Housing. According to reports, Dhoni, who was the brand ambassador of G Square, is accused of misleading people by promoting the company. The company’s customers claim that Dhoni’s image and his reputation inspired them to invest in this company. But, this investment turned out to be in illegal projects and they suffered huge financial losses.

What is the whole scam?
G Square Housing is a real estate company. It is alleged that he misappropriated money by creating a network of more than 45 companies and tried to avoid government investigation. The network was run by company owner Ramjay (also known as Bala) and his wife Srikala.
Questions have also been raised on the financial position of G Square. The company showed losses for the first several years, but in 2021 it suddenly grew rapidly. This time coincides with the DMK party coming to power in Tamil Nadu.

Although, there is no direct evidence against Dhoni that he participated in the company’s fraud, but due to him being the brand ambassador, customers trusted the company. 11 FIRs related to this have been registered in Tamil Nadu. In these FIRs, questions have been raised on Dhoni’s moral responsibility, because his publicity inspired customers to invest in the company.
