Delhi: Ritika Sajdeh, wife of Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma, has revealed the name of her second child. She shared a cutout of her family in a Christmas-themed Instagram story, naming Rohit as ‘Ro’, Ritika as ‘Rits’, daughter Samaira as ‘Sammy’ and newborn son as ‘Ahaan’. Announcing the birth of his son in November, Rohit had written, “We are now four.”
‘Prithvi Shaw could not collect Rs 30-40 crore till the age of 23’
Rohit and Ritika’s first daughter Samaira was born in 2018. Due to the birth of his son, Rohit did not participate in the first match of the Border-Gavaskar series. In his absence, Jasprit Bumrah captained the team and India registered a big win of 295 runs.
Later Rohit joined the team in the pink ball practice match. However, due to rain this two-day match was reduced to one day. Rohit, batting at number four, scored three runs in 11 balls. He will return to his regular opening role in the Adelaide Test starting on 6 December.
This series is important for India, because the team aims to make it to the final of the ICC World Test Championship. Rohit has so far scored 408 runs in 7 test matches in Australia at an average of 31.38. However, his recent form has been disappointing and he will be expected to perform better in this series.
