According to media reports, it is legally valid to take 57 grams of cannabis for personal use in Canada, but consuming and traveling with drugs in public places is against the law. Nicolas Kirton was caught with 160 times more drugs than the fixed limit, which could lead to serious legal action.
Kirin’s arrest has brought him under suspicion to play in the North American Cup. The tournament is scheduled to begin on April 18, in which teams from USA, Bermuda, Bahamas and host Canada will participate.
