Delhi: Team India may have failed to win the series on the Australia tour, but young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy won everyone’s hearts with his brilliant performance. Nitish, who made his debut in Adelaide Test, scored 42-42 runs in both the innings of his first match.
After this, he created a sensation by scoring a brilliant century in the Melbourne Test. This century came in only the third Test match of his career, when Team India was in trouble. Batting at number 8, Nitish played an important role in getting the team out of trouble.
Veteran cricketers described his innings as one of the best innings of Test cricket, because scoring a century while batting lower order in the difficult conditions of Australia is a special achievement.
Nitish fulfilled the big dream of himself and his family during the Australia tour. His father’s dream was that Nitish should play for Team India one day, which has now come true. After returning to India, Nitish reached Tirupati Balaji temple and had darshan of God. He expressed his faith by climbing the stairs of the temple barefoot and on his knees. His video during this time is going viral on social media.

It is noteworthy that after proving his ability on the Australia tour, Nitish will now be seen playing in the T20 series against England. He made his T20 International debut against Bangladesh in Gwalior in October last year. In that series, Nitish had scored an unbeaten 16* runs in the first match and a quick 74 runs in the second match. However, he could not open his account in the third match. He will try to leave his mark against England with bat and ball.
