Delhi: Pakistan’s women’s cricket team has recently qualified for the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup by performing brilliantly in the Women’s World Cup qualifiers held in Lahore. This World Cup will be played in India in the months of September and October.

However, due to the hybrid model adopted during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, it is almost certain that the Pakistan women’s team will not visit India and their matches will be played on any neutral venue.

In a conversation with Pakpassion, Pakistan women’s team batsman Gul Feroza said that the team knows that they will not play in India and they are not interested in it. Rather, she is hoping that her World Cup will be held in an Asian country, such as Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates (UAE) or Bangladesh.

Gul Feroza said, “We know so much that we will play under Asian circumstances and will not play in India. It is clear. We are not interested in playing in India, so wherever matches will be played, hopefully in Sri Lanka or Dubai, the circumstances there are similar to Asia. Qualifiers were at our house and our staff had prepared pitch accordingly.”

Significantly, due to the ongoing political tension between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and India, the teams of the two countries have been avoiding playing on each other’s land. For this reason, the Pakistan Women’s Team has also decided to play on neutral venue as compared to the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 to be held in India.
