Delhi: Nowadays, there is so much game in cricket that players are constantly seen playing from one league to another. Recently, Andre Russell and Jason Holder of West Indies did something similar. On the night of 2 February, both of them played for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the International League T20 (LT20), and the next day i.e. on 3 February, he became part of their teams in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Sri Lankan all -rounder Dasun Shanaka also did something similar. He played a domestic first class match in his country in the morning on February 2 and went to the field in Dubai in Dubai on behalf of Dubai Capitals.
Russell and Holder performance in ILT20
Russell and holder Abu Dhabi were in the team of Knight Riders in the ILT20. In the match on February 2, his team lost to Dubai Capitals, which led to the Knight Riders dropping out of the tournament. In this match, the holder took one wicket for 61 runs in four overs and remained unbeaten after scoring 16 runs in batting. At the same time, Russell was dismissed on the first ball and he did not even bowl.
After being out of the ILT20, Russell and Holder immediately reached Bangladesh Premier League. However, Russell’s poor form continued and he was dismissed by Mohammad Nawaz by scoring only four runs.
Shanaka performs great performance in two formats
Dasun Shanaka played the first Major League first class tournament in Sri Lanka on 2 February. Shanaka scored a tremendous century to save his team Sinhalese Sports Club from defeat. He scored 123 runs in 87 balls, including 10 fours and 8 sixes. After this, Shanaka reached Dubai after holding a flight and played a faster innings of 34 runs in 12 balls while playing for Dubai Capitals in the LT20.
