On 7 April in IPL 2025, the team of Royal Challengers Bangalore created history by beating Mumbai Indians at their home. The team won in Wankhede for the first time since 2015. The biggest hero of this victory was Krunal Pandya, who successfully defended 19 runs in the last over. Krunal showed Mitchell Santner, Deepak Chahar and Naman Dhir the path of the pavilion and gave just 6 runs. Krunal took four wickets for 45 runs in his 4 -over spell.

After winning against Mumbai, Krunal Pandya made a big statement about his bond with his younger brother Hardik. He appreciated Hardik Pandya’s innings and said that he feels bad but it was already decided that only one Pandya would win.

Our love for each other is very natural- Krunal Pandya

Krunal Pandya said while talking to broadcasters after the match,

“The relationship between us (Hardik and my), we knew that only one Pandya is going to win, our love and affection is very natural for each other. He (Hardik) really batted well and I felt bad for him, but we (our team RCB) won and that is the most important.”

Hardik Pandya played a stormy innings of 42 runs in 15 balls with the help of 3 fours and 4 sixes, but could not win the team.

Krunal Pandya again said while talking about the last over against Mumbai Indians,

“When I came to bowl, Santner was batting and the leg side was small and all the matches I have played in the last 10 years, some time experience was needed. As a bowler, sometimes you want to be committed and it is important to have 100 percent committe and it helps in exercise.”

Royal Challengers Bangalore will now play the next match against Delhi Capitals at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on 10 April. The team is currently third with three wins, 6 points in 4 matches in the points table after winning the Mumbai Indians.
