Delhi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided not to use the Decision Review System (DRS) in the domestic T20 series against Bangladesh. According to the board, this decision has been taken due to low interest on the series and high expenses.
Lack of cost and interest became the reason
A PCB source said that DRS technology for boards and broadcasters is not financially beneficial in this series. For this reason, it will not be used in the three -match series.
Bangladesh team will look weak
The Bangladesh team has reached Pakistan without some of its important players. Fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman, who was hurt in the thumb during the IPL, will not be part of this series. Apart from this, some players and members of the support staff have withdrawn from the tour due to security reasons.
Capture handed over to Litton Das
Bangladesh team is being led by Litton Das this time. The team has recently reached Pakistan after losing the T20 series 2–1 against the United Arab Emirates, due to which their morale is already weak.
DRS was not even in PSL
This is not the first time that DRS technology has not been used in Pakistan. Earlier, DRS was not used even in the second phase of the recently held Pakistan Super League (PSL). At that time technical systems were affected due to the Indo-Pak border dispute.
Series start from Wednesday
This 3 -match T20 series against Bangladesh starts on Wednesday. The matches are being organized in Lahore, but the interest of the audience and the media is relatively rarely visible regarding the series.
