Delhi: Seeing the poor condition of Pakistan cricket team, former batsman Ahmed Shahzad has given a big statement. He said that such people should be brought in the system, who are ready to work for free for the country.
Significantly, Pakistan’s team was ruled out of the tournament in the very first week of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. After the defeat to New Zealand and then India, his hopes of reaching the semi -finals were almost over. Subsequently, when New Zealand defeated Bangladesh, Pakistan officially dropped out of the tournament.
33 -year -old Ahmed Shahzad said in an interview to sports, “The tournament for you was over in four days. Don’t you hurt? We have loved cricket dishonestly, it is in our blood. We have grown up with cricket, but when we see the condition of Pakistan team and its structure, it is very sad. ”
He further said, “We have to improve cricket. We have to give the right responsibility to the right person. If you are the chairman, then it is your responsibility to take cricket in the right direction. Nothing will happen only by constructing a stadium, you have to take the right decisions. “
Ahmed Shahzad also questioned the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and said that there will be no change from bringing the same tride and tested people again and again. He said, “Now the time has come to take the current situation of the Pakistan team seriously. Calling the right people and organizing meetings and asked how the system can be improved. ”
Shahzad also said that the board should join the same people who really want to improve Pakistan cricket, not those who are only looking for a job. He said, “Those who love cricket and country, who have the right understanding of cricket and those who are ready to work for the country without any greed, should be brought into the system.”
