Delhi: Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi has reacted to the allegations leveled by India on Pakistan after the attack in Pahalgam in Kashmir. Afridi said that India has hurriedly convicted Pakistan, while no concrete evidence has been presented so far. Describing it as regrettable, he said that a fair investigation should be done before accusing any incident.

Afridi further said that Pakistan itself is struggling with terrorism and is constantly facing terrorist attacks. He expressed grief over the death of innocent people in Kashmir and increasing terrorist incidents in Pakistan.

The former captain insisted that the solution of tension between the two countries is possible only through diplomatic dialogue. According to him, nothing can be achieved by war or conflict and sports like cricket should be kept away from politics.

It is noteworthy that 26 Indian tourists died tragically in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, after which the tension between India and Pakistan has increased considerably. India has also taken many decisions taking strict steps against Pakistan.

It is worth noting that after the Pahalgam attack, not only has the already stressful relations between the two countries further spoiled, but has also raised serious questions on regional peace and stability.
