Delhi: Former Pakistan Test cricketer Farooq Hameed died at the age of 80. Family sources have confirmed his death, after which a wave of mourning has run in the cricket world.
Farooq Hamid played the only Test match against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground in 1964, in which he represented Pakistan, in which he took 1 wicket.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed deep grief over the death of Farooq Hameed. Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi said, “Pakistan cricket has lost a great player with the death of Farooq Hameed. We are involved in the grief of his family and pray to God to empower him to bear this grief.”
