Delhi: The Pakistani government has banned online streaming of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. According to Pakistani media reports, the decision was taken late Friday night and it applies to all websites and apps in Pakistan that were earlier streaming IPL matches.

This step has been taken by India in response to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 broadcasting. After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, India had decided to stop Streaming of PSL. On April 24, the Indian streaming platform Fancode, which had official streaming rights of PSL matches, announced to stop the broadcast of the Pakistani League with immediate effect.

More than 25 Indian tourists were killed in this terrorist attack in Pahalgam, who went for holidays in Kashmir. After this incident, India not only stopped Broadcasting of PSL, but also blocked the social media accounts of many Pakistani cricketers, such as Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi.

In response, Pakistan has now decided to ban IPL streaming in its country. At the moment, it is not clear how long these restrictions will be applicable and whether this ban has been really applied completely, because different claims are coming out about it in some Pakistani media outlets.
