Delhi: Pakistan won a historic victory in the third match of New Zealand vs Pakistan T20I series. With this victory, the visiting team raised a hope after being 2–0 behind in the 5-match series. But, in the fourth T20 match, hosts New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 115 runs to take an unassailable 3–1 lead in the series.

New Zealand’s explosive batting

While batting first, New Zealand scored 220 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. New Zealand openers Tim CIFT and Finn Alan gave the team a fast start. There was a 59 -run partnership between the two. CIFT scored 44 runs in 22 balls and Haris Rauf broke the partnership by dismissing him.

After this, Finn Alan joined Mark Chapman. Chapman scored 24 runs in 16 balls. After some time, Alan also returned to the pavilion after playing a 50 -run innings of 50 runs in 20 balls. In the middle order, James Neesham and Mitchell could score only 3-3 runs. After this, Captain Michael Bracewell took the front and scored an unbeaten 46 in 26 balls and took the team to a strong score of 220 runs.

Pakistan’s weak batting

Pakistan’s team, chasing the target of 221 runs, appeared under pressure from the beginning. Kiwi bowlers took five wickets in power and shook Pakistan badly. Pakistan’s entire team was reduced to just 105 runs in 16.2 overs.

For Pakistan, Irfan Khan scored the most 24 runs, while Abdul Samad scored a struggle of 44 runs in 30 balls. However, the rest of the batsmen could not do anything special.

New Zealand bowlers

The bowlers of New Zealand performed well. Jacob Dafi took 4 wickets for 24 runs in 4 overs, while Jackie Falls took 3 wickets. William O’Rork and Ish Sodhi also got 1-1 success.

On the basis of this brilliant performance, New Zealand won the fourth T20 match by 115 runs and captured the series.
