Delhi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has given a big statement on the proposed schedule of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, saying that we do not do any work without writing. While talking to journalists on the occasion of his visit to Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Naqvi said that he does not do anything without writing, if someone refuses then we will see how he can refuse. When asked about the Champions Trophy schedule, Mohsin Naqvi said, “Just be patient, everything will be revealed.”

AUS vs IND: Gabba Test washed out due to rain, after the third match both teams are tied at 1-1 in the series.

In such a situation, the question arises whether Mohsin has given this statement against India. There are speculations that he has targeted India without taking its name. For your information, let us tell you that the matches between India and Pakistan including the Champions Trophy will be played at neutral venues till 2027. Both the boards have agreed in this regard.

In response to another question, Naqvi said, “No final decision has been taken yet regarding the Champions Trophy. Whatever happens regarding the tournament will be better for Pakistan.”

Pakistan rejected India’s offer

According to the report of Express Tribune, BCCI had offered compensation to PCB in exchange for refusing to tour Pakistan, but PCB rejected it and gave priority to national honour. Instead, the PCB suggested a model under which teams from India and Pakistan would not tour each other’s countries except in ICC tournaments for the next three years.

To resolve this issue, ICC has approved the hybrid model for the 2025 Champions Trophy. The tournament matches will be played in Pakistan and Dubai. If the Indian team reaches the final, the final will be held in Dubai. Similarly, India’s semi-final match will also be held in Dubai.

It is noteworthy that India and Pakistan have not played any bilateral series in the last decade. However, both the teams have been facing each other in big ICC and ACC tournaments.
