Delhi: Australian star opener Usman Khwaja created a new history by scoring the first double century of his Test career in Sri Lanka. He has become the first Australian batsman to score a double century in the Test on the land of Sri Lanka. 38 -year -old Usman achieved this achievement on the second day of the first Test match being played in Gaul.

Khwaja, who is in excellent form, completed 200 runs with a single off the first ball of the 111st over. He carried out this big innings in 290 balls, which included 16 fours and 1 six.
With this achievement, Khwaja has joined the list of foreign batsmen who scored the most runs in Tests in Sri Lanka. Khwaja has now come in third place in this case. Chris Gayle of West Indies scored the highest 333 runs on this ground. Earlier, Justin Langer scored the biggest score (166 runs) in Sri Lanka for Australia.
