Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain and Indian opener Ruturaj Gaikwad also tied up with the county club Yorkshire. But, citing personal reasons, he recently withdrew his name from this contract.
Reacting to this, Yorkshire’s head coach Anthony McGrag said, “Unfortunately, Ruturaj will no longer be able to join the team for personal reasons. It is disappointing for us. I can’t say much about his reasons, but we are looking for his option.”
Now Yorkshire has contracted Pakistan’s experienced batter Imam ul Haq instead of Indian opener.
Imam’s experience beneficial for Yorkshire
The 28 -year -old Imam ul Haq has three Tests and nine ODI centuries. He is well acquainted with the circumstances of England, as he has played for the Samarset in 2022. Yorkshire hopes that his experience will strengthen the team.
