Delhi: Former Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shahzad has strongly criticized all -rounder Khushdil Shah and the entire team for confronting fans during the third ODI against New Zealand. During this match played at Bay Oval in Mount Munganui on Saturday, there was a fierce debate between Khushdil Shah and the audience, after which two fans were dropped from the stadium.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and New Zealand Cricket (NZC) confirmed that Khushdil was abused by the audience, after which the conflict occurred.

Ahmed Shahzad expressed displeasure over this, saying, “There is no spirit on the field, but your players are going to fight the audience, threatening to kill them. I can understand that sometimes fans cross dignity, but you cannot control them, you should come to control yourself.”
Shahzad said that the players should put up their energy on the field and not get entangled with the fans. Questioning the attitude of the team, he said that when a fight is needed on the field, the players do not appear, but are always ready to get entangled with the audience.
