Delhi: New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 43 runs in the third and last ODI to win the series 3–0. Due to rain, the match was reduced to 42 overs, in which New Zealand scored 264 runs for 8 wickets while batting first. In response, the entire team of Pakistan was reduced to 221 runs.

New Zealand’s innings

New Zealand started by Rees Mariyu and Nick Kelly. Nasim Shah dismissed Kelly for just 3 runs. After this, Henry Nichols and Maryu handled the innings. Nichols scored 31 and Marieu scored 58 runs. In the middle order, Deril Mitchell scored 43, Tim Cifart 26 and captain Michael Bracewell scored a stormy innings of 59 runs off 40 balls. Mohammad Abbas added 11 and Mitchell Santner added 8 runs. For Pakistan, Aqif Javed took the maximum 4 wickets, but he also scored 62 runs in 8 overs. 2 to Nasim Shah, Faheem Ashraf And Sufiyan Mukim got 1-1 wickets.

Pakistan’s poor performance

In the beginning of Pakistan’s innings, a big shock occurred when Imam-ul-Haq The jaw was injured by the fielder’s throw and was taken out of the ground. Usman Khan convention was all in his place but he too was dismissed for 12 runs. Babar Azam scored 50 runs from 58 balls while Mohammad Rizwan added 37 runs from 32 balls. At one time, Pakistan seemed to be in a strong position, but the team was reduced to 221 runs due to continuous wicket fall.

Ben Sires was the most effective among the New Zealand bowlers. He took 5 wickets for just 34 runs in 9 overs. Jacob Dafi got 2, while Braswell, Abbas and Mitchell got 1-1 wickets.

Pakistan suffered defeat in all three matches and New Zealand beaten Pakistan in every department by cleaning a clean sweep 3–0.
