Delhi: Islamabad United (IU) opener Sahibzada Farhan created history by scoring a tremendous century in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 match played against Peshawar Zalmi (PZ) at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Monday (April 14). Farhan continued the brilliant form this season and scored an innings of 106 runs in just 52 balls, making his team score a huge score of 243 runs. This is the sixth biggest score in the history of PSL.

Farhan had scored three centuries in the recently ended National T20 Cup and now he achieved a big achievement by scoring the fourth T20 century of the year. He has become only the fifth player in the world to do so.

Earlier, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Jose Butler and Chris Gayle have done this feat. Farhan has become the first Pakistani batsman to achieve this position, who has broken the record of Babar Azam. Babur scored three T20 centuries in 2019 and 2023.

Chris Gayle has scored three T20 centuries three times a year, and two centuries twice. Gayle has the highest number of 22 centuries in T20 cricket, while Babar Azam is second with 11 centuries.

Significantly, Farhan is in great form at the moment and is making big scores in T20 cricket continuously. He recently scored three centuries in the National T20 Cup and now he scored a fourth century in PSL. His wonderful form is drawing attention to the selectors not only in domestic cricket but also internationally. If his performance continues, he may soon become a strong contender in Pakistan’s national team.
