Furthermore, Rizwan said that performing well in the ODIs has enhanced the preparation and team building for the mega event and we are looking forward to playing in front of our home crowd and giving a great performance in the 8-team tournament .
The right-handed batsman said that hosting the ICC Champions Trophy is a great opportunity as Pakistan welcomes its first ICC event here in 28 years and especially we are the defending champions. We will try to live up to the expectations of our fans.
He further said that our country is known for its great hospitality and I am sure that the fans will not only support our team but will also appreciate the performance of other teams.
ICC Champions Trophy schedule revealed
For your information, let us tell you that the Champions Trophy will start from 19th February, in which Team India will play its first match against Bangladesh on 20th February. All India’s matches will be held in Dubai. The much awaited match between India and Pakistan will take place in Dubai on 23 February. At the same time, Pakistan will play its matches against other teams on home grounds.
