Delhi: Indian team wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has achieved a special achievement. Pant has been nominated in the ‘Comeback of the Year’ category for the Laureus Award. He is the second cricketer to be nominated for the award, before that Sachin Tendulkar was also nominated for this award.
On December 30, 2022, Rishabh Pant suffered a car accident. The accident took place when Pant was going from Delhi to Roorkee and a nap came while driving, causing his car to hit the divider and caught fire. Pant suffered serious injuries in this accident. His right knee ligament was injured, as well as injuries on the wrist, ankle, back and forehead.

After a long time, Pant made a comeback during IPL 2024. He played his first match against Punjab Kings on 20 February. His return proved to be an important turn for him, and after that he ‘Comeback of the Year’ Nomated for the award.

- In T20 International, Pant has played 76 matches and scored 1209 runs, including 3 half -centuries.
- Pant’s figures in the IPL are even more impressive. He has scored 3284 runs in 111 matches, average 35.31 and strike rate 148.93. Apart from this, Pant has also scored 18 half -centuries and 1 century.
