Delhi: The second match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 will be played in Adelaide from December 6, which will be a pink ball test. In the press conference held before the match, Australian captain Pat Cummins talked about the home advantage his team got against India. Pat believes that he does not have any special advantage.

349 runs scored in T20! This Indian team made a big record

Circumstances are not foreign to India

In the press conference, the Australian captain was asked whether they have home advantage and whether it is over-rated, because they had to face the Indian team in Perth. To this Pat replied, “It is a little difficult to understand. But, we know that we have played a lot of cricket in many formats in India. I feel that when India comes here, even if there are no Test matches, there is some ODI (or T20) series here every year. So, these situations no longer seem as foreign as they used to be.”

I don’t get the same benefits at home as before.

Talking further on this, the captain said, “I feel that today’s players are quite adaptable. You have to learn to play around the world, and you quickly adapt to the circumstances. I can’t say about years ago, but it seems that the home ground advantage is there, but not as big as it used to be.”
