Delhi: After the cancellation of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 in Dharamshala, Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capital (DC) players, broadcasting crew and other staff have been evacuated from there. Players and others of both teams first reached Jalandhar from Dharamshala via road, after which they were sent to Delhi by special Vande Bharat train.
A video has also been posted thanks to Vande India from the social media handle of IPL, in which many players and commentator are seen in the train. Even foreign players became part of this journey.
Amid the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, this entire team reached New Delhi via Vande Bharat train. There were about 300 people in this train, including the players, technical teams, media and IPL staff. BCCI, amidst tight security, transported this entire party from Dharamshala to Jalandhar railway station from where the train left for Delhi.
BCCI thanks Indian Railways

BCCI officials said that in the current situation, there was a threat in the road journey, so the train was specially arranged so that everyone’s security would remain. For the first time, such special train has been arranged for two teams and broadcasting teams in the history of IPL.
