Virat Kohli represented India in Test cricket for 14 years and on Monday 12 May, he suddenly announced retirement on Instagram. Both the cricket world and the fans were surprised by his decision.
Kohli wrote, “It is not easy to go away from this format, but this decision seems right to me. I have given everything to Test cricket and this game also gave me more than my expectations.”
He also said, “I am thankful to all those people who joined me in this journey. From fellow players playing on the field, from fans, thank you all heartfelt.”
