Delhi: The young opener of the Pakistan cricket team, Sym Job, was recently a victim of ankle injury, causing a doubt about his playing in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president Mohsin Naqvi has made a statement on Job’s injury. He said that PCB is cautious about the injury to the sime and is giving priority to the player’s long career. Naqvi clarified that if Job is not fully fit, she could be excluded from the Champions Trophy.
46 -year -old Mohsin Naqvi said, “I am personally monitoring the fitness of Sym Job. He is currently passing through the rehab and his plaster will be removed in 1-2 days. After this, their recovery will start, which will take time. I cannot endanger their future for a tournament. He is an important player for us, and I hope he will return to the field soon. ” Significantly, the left -handed batsman was injured in the second Test match against South Africa.
The ICC Champions Trophy will begin on February 19, in which the host Pakistan will face New Zealand in the first match. India will launch its campaign against Bangladesh on 20 February, led by Rohit Sharma. After this, on February 22, the teams of India and Pakistan will face face to face. India will play its final group stage match against New Zealand on 2 March.
