Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) Mumbai Indians (Mi), who entered the decisive round of 2025, will play an important match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Sunday. Prior to the match, Mumbai’s batting coach Kieron Pollard spoke to the media and threw light on the team’s preparations.
Regarding the recent victory and making a place in the top-4, Pollard said, “The team has caught a great rhythm and our goal is to score more and more points while maintaining this rhythm. The tournament is now at the point where every match is very important.”
Talking about the atmosphere of the team, Pollard said, “We are never completely satisfied with our achievements. Our focus is on continuously improving and winning in important moments of the match.”
He further said, “Every team’s journey is different. Some start with some strong starts, then some catch pace later. Every phase of IPL matters equally for us.”
Unwavering confidence in Rohit: Pollard
On returning to the form of Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, Pollard said, “We have always supported both players. We were sure that as the season would move forward, everyone would praise them. It was just a matter of time.”
Along with this, Pollard also praised Hardik Pandya, who is contributing important to both bat and ball. Pollard said, “Hardik is enjoying his cricket, as we have seen in his international performance, it is really inspiring to see the strong comeback of players who have faced challenges inside and outside the field. We should sometimes give some time to such players.”
