Delhi: In IPL 2025, only Punjab Kings (PBKS) young batsman Priyansh Arya, playing his fourth match, scored a bang century against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Tuesday. The left -arm opener completed his century in just 39 balls and came at number four in the list of batsmen who scored the fastest century in IPL history. Also, it is the fastest century of IPL against Chennai.
Priyansh had already come into the discussion by scoring 47 runs in the match, but the storm he created against CSK was worth watching. He hit a six off the first ball of the match and did not take the name of stopping again. In the 13th over of the match, he completed his century by hitting 22 runs off Mathisha Pathirana’s balls. He scored 103 runs in a total of 42 balls, including 7 fours and 9 sixes. His innings strike rate was 245.24.
This century is the second fastest century in IPL by an Indian player. A faster than this was scored by Yusuf Pathan in 37 balls against Mumbai Indians in 2010.
