Delhi: Indian fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has revealed that ever since he is associated with Punjab Kings, he has started feeling himself like a senior player. He thanked the franchise for expressing confidence in the team and said that this trust has helped him become a better player and a human being.

Team part from 2019

26 -year -old Arshdeep was associated with Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) in 2019 and has been leading the team’s fast bowling since then. He has taken 84 wickets so far in seven seasons. In 2023, he performed his best with 19 wickets, while in IPL 2025 he has taken 8 wickets so far.

Big responsibility got after the very first year

During the conversation at the show ‘Candid with Kings’, Arshdeep said that he soon got the responsibility of the senior player except the first year. He said, “I am a part of this team for the last seven years and after the first year I was starting to realize the responsibility. The trust that the team showed on me gave me a chance to learn and enhance a lot.”

There is no scope for mistake

Arshdeep also told that he soon understood that even a small mistake made on the field could cause heavy damage to the team. He said, “My role was fixed from the beginning, and I knew that he could not make a mistake on important occasions. Because if the strategy did not work properly at that time, the whole team could get into trouble. This thinking made me more responsible.”

Arshadeep started thinking like a senior

The fast bowler said that he started looking at himself like a senior player long ago. “I made myself a habit of keeping myself calm and ready under the big circumstances of the match. This experience worked in both India’s national team and IPL.”
