Suryavanshi scored the second fastest century in the history of the Indian Premier League and made a record of scoring the fastest century by any Indian batsman. He did this feat in just 35 balls.
Seeing this historic innings of Vaibhav, the head coach of Rajasthan Royals, Rahul Dravid, stood with a wheelchair and started clapping. Not only this, he also received a lot of congratulations from the cricket world. Before the next match of IPL 2025 against Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals coach Rahul Dravid made a big disclosure. Dravid said that the franchise had taken many special steps before the beginning of the season to get Vaibhav Suryavanshi assimilation (to understand something completely and make it his own).
Dravid told Hindustan Times, “We made sure that he feels comfortable in this environment. After the auction we had organized three or four camps every month. Vaibhav was present in every camp, he got a chance to meet the players, to meet the coaching staff and support staff.”
He further said, “By the time he came to play IPL, he had met almost all Indian players, coaches and support staff of the team. There were only four foreign players from whom he got for the first time. We worked under a system so that he would come here to come here and feel any pressure. He is shy, so it will take a little time to open, but he is feeling comfortable here.”
Dravid also said that Vaibhav is constantly learning from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ryan Parag, Sanju Samson and a lot of players.
