Delhi: A suite has been inaugurated in the name of Ravi Shastri at Lord’s Cricket Ground, which has become a proud moment for Indian cricket. One of the most prestigious places in the world of cricket, Lords is called ‘Mecca of Cricket’ and now a suite named Indian cricketer and veteran coach Ravi Shastri has been established on this historic ground. This historic moment was recorded on 11 June 2025 on the first day of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final between Australia and South Africa.

Ravi Shastri’s career and record
Ravi Shastri has brought Indian cricket to new heights in his career and then as a coach. As a Dhakad all -rounder, he played 80 Test matches and 150 ODIs for India, in which he scored more than 6,900 runs and took 280 wickets. The most memorable moment of his career came in the 1985 World Championship of Cricket, where Ravi scored 185 runs and took 8 wickets. He was declared the best player of the tournament for this performance.
Later, Shastri was appointed as the head coach of the Indian cricket team from 2017 to 2021. During his coaching tenure, the Indian team touched many new heights. He prepared a team that could perform brilliantly abroad.
