Delhi: The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have performed brilliantly and won the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 title. After waiting for 18 years long, RCB defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 runs in the final to win the IPL Trophy for the first time. Bengaluru performed brilliantly in the league stage and finished second in the points table, giving him a chance to play in the first qualifier.
In the first qualifier, RCB defeated Punjab and made it to the finals. Subsequently, he was confronted by Kings in the final, where RCB won the title for the first time in the season under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar.
Team India’s veteran Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara has also reacted to RCB’s victory. In a conversation with former fast bowler Varun Aaron on Star Sports, Pujara said that now, when RCB has won his first title, he has full potential to win more titles in future.
Pujara said, “I think this is just the beginning. Now the team has a strong base and confidence. First, when the team could not win the title, even though he used to play good cricket, a question always remained. But, now that they have won the title, I think the future of RCB is bright. This team will now be a tough challenge for every team.”
With this title victory, Virat Kohli’s 18 -year long wait is also over. This was RCB’s fourth IPL final appearance, and this time the team created history and won the IPL Trophy for the first time.
