In the 20th match of IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians by 12 runs at his house. Bangalore, batting first, had scored 221 runs on the board, chasing the MI’s team for 209. Under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar, RCB has created a big history with this victory, the team has won against Mumbai in Wankhede for the first time since 2015.

IPL issued an official statement on Tuesday, 8 April, wrote,
“Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Rajat Patidar has been fined as his team maintained a slow over rate against Mumbai Indians during the match number 21 of IPL 2025 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Because this is his team’s first mistake under the Orticle 2.2 of IPL Code of Conduct, which is related to minimum over-trail crime, 12 lakh rupees.”
Rajat Patidar won the title of Player of the Match
Rajat Patidar, a brilliant innings of 64 runs in 32 balls in the match against Mumbai Indians, won the Player of the Match title. Rajat, batting at a strike rate of 200, hit 5 fours and 4 sixes. Apart from Patidar, Virat Kohli (67) and Jitesh Sharma (40*) played important innings, which led the team to put a total board of 221.
After the winning of Royal Challengers Bangalore, the points table is currently third in the table with three wins, 6 points. The team will now face the table topper Delhi capitals at home on 10 April.
