Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB )’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 win in Bengaluru on Wednesday turned into a heavy accident. Outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium, 11 people died in a huge crowd and chaos, while about 50 people were injured. All these gathered to get a glimpse of Virat Kohli and his team.
After this painful incident, the RCB management has taken a big decision. The franchise issued a statement on social media stating that it will provide financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the dead.

RCB said, “The incident that happened yesterday in Bengaluru has given us a lot of grief and trouble. As solidarity and respect, we are giving financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the families of 11 late people.”
Apart from this, the franchise has also announced a fund named ‘RCB Cares’, which will help the fans injured in this accident. The statement said, “Our fans have always been closest to our heart. We are united in this hour of grief.”
RCB won the IPL Trophy for the first time by defeating Punjab Kings in the final played in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.
Karnataka High Court issued notice
Taking automatic cognizance of this accident, the Karnataka High Court has issued a notice to the state government. The court said that it is necessary to know the cause of this incident and prevent such accidents in future.
Senior Advocate Arun Shyam told the court that the function was both in the assembly (Vidhan Saudha) and the stadium, so it should also be seen where the ambulances were deployed. The court has fixed the next hearing of the case on 10 June.

Deputy Commissioner of Bangalore Urban and officer investigating this accident. Jagdisha has said that he will send notices to many responsible institutions. He said, “I will send notice to KSCA (Karnataka State Cricket Association), RCB management, event manager and police commissioner.”
