Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have suffered a major setback before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 playoffs. The team’s young English batsman all -rounder Jacob Bethal will no longer play in the playoffs. He will leave the team after the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 23 May.
RCB reported Bethal’s replacement
Actually, Bethal has been included in England’s ODI team. The ODI series starts in England from May 29, in which Bethal will play. For this reason, they have to leave the IPL in the middle.
RCB has replaced New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Sifart in the team. SIFT will be available to play the last match of the league stage against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on 27 May. He has been signed for Rs 2 crore. CIFT is currently playing in Pakistan Super League (PSL) for Karachi Kings
Tim Sifart Experience
SIFERT has previously played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC). He has scored 1,540 runs for New Zealand in 66 T20 international matches. His strike rate is 142.85 and average 28. His name is also recorded in 10 half -centuries.
How was Bethal’s first season?
Bethal made his debut in the absence of Phil Soult in this season. He scored 12 runs against Delhi Capitals, but in the next match he played a brilliant innings of 55 runs and shared a 97 -run opening with Virat Kohli. He has not been able to bowl yet. He was purchased in mega auction for Rs 2.60 crore.
Now it has to be seen whether Tim Sifarts can show amazing in the playoffs for RCB and whether they can win their first trophy or are disappointed again.
