Delhi: The final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was played on 3 June at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this match, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 runs and won the IPL title for the first time. After a long wait of 18 years, IPL won this big win for the first time.

RCB’s first IPL Trophy

Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bowl first. Virat Kohli scored the highest 43 runs for RCB. Apart from them, Liam Livingstone played 25, Rajat Patidar 26 and Jitesh Sharma and Mayank Agarwal played innings of 24-24 runs.

For PNKS, Kyle Jameson and Arshdeep Singh took 3-3 wickets while bowling brilliantly.

On behalf of Punjab Kings, Priyans Arya and Prabhasimran Singh came down to opening, but they could not give their team a fast start. However, Josh English tried to give some speed to the team by scoring 39 runs in 23 balls. Arya scored 24 and Prabhasimran scored 26 runs.

RCB bowlers bowled with a brilliant line and length and did not give the big Hitters of Punjab openly to play openly. PBks scored 184 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Shashank Singh scored an unbeaten 61 runs which included 3 fours and 6 sixes. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Krunal Pandya took 2-2 wickets for RCB.

In this way, RCB won the IPL 2025 final by 6 runs and won the title. Virat Kohli and RCB players looked very happy by winning their first IPL Trophy.
