Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has once again affected the match schedule. The match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will now be played in Lucknow. This match was to be held in Bangalore earlier, but it has been shifted in view of bad weather.

RCB will now play both its remaining matches at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The first match will be against SRH on 23 May and the second against Lucknow Super Giants on 27 May.

Venue changed due to rain

Bengaluru has been raining continuously for the last several days. The Meteorological Department has released “Yellow Alert” for the city. It has warned of heavy to very heavy rain till Wednesday and Thursday. For this reason, the BCCI had to take this decision.

Last week, RCB’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Bengaluru was rained. Not a single ball could be thrown. There was also waterlogging in many parts of the city. The players had to stay in the hotel these days.

Information about changes given to RCB-SRH

In view of this weather condition, the BCCI took a quick step. On Tuesday, the team was informed about this change. At that time, RCB’s alternative practice session was going to be held, which would be the first session before the last match.

SRH’s team was also asked to stay directly in Lucknow after this decision. He was supposed to go to Bangalore on Tuesday evening, but now there is no need to go there.

From the perspective of RCB, this decision can be of profit for them. If the next match in Bengaluru was canceled by rain, then they would not get two important points. This could make it difficult to make a place in the top two in the playoffs.

Now looking at the situation in Lucknow, it is expected that both matches will be completed without interruption. This will give RCB a clear opportunity to move forward on the basis of its performance.
