Delhi: Madhya Pradesh defeated former champion Delhi by 7 wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T-20 match on Friday night and made it to the final for the first time in a long time of 13 years. Captain Patidar’s unbeaten half-century played an important role in this victory. Batting first, Delhi scored only 146 runs, which Madhya Pradesh achieved in 32 balls.
Pakistan cheated Sam Ayub, despite having 98 runs, did not give him a chance to score a century.

Madhya Pradesh won the toss and took the right decision of bowling first and restricted Delhi to 146 runs. All-rounder Venkatesh Iyer took two wickets for 12 runs. After this, captain Patidar played an unbeaten inning of 66 runs in 29 balls, which included four fours and six sixes. On the basis of this brilliant innings, Madhya Pradesh achieved the target by losing three wickets in 15.4 overs.
Rajat and Harpreet laid the foundation of victory
Patidar made a brilliant partnership of 106 runs in 57 balls for the fourth wicket with Harpreet Singh Bhatia, ending Delhi’s hopes of a comeback. Harpreet hit four fours and two sixes in his unbeaten innings. Madhya Pradesh’s opening batsman Harsh Gawli also contributed 30 runs.
The final will be held between Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai
Now Madhya Pradesh will face Mumbai in the final on Sunday. This is Madhya Pradesh’s first final since 2011, when it was the runner-up.
