Delhi: On Friday morning, the Bengaluru police arrested Nikhil Sosale, associated with the management of the team of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). What happened in Bengaluru
After the RCB victory, a victory procession was announced in Bengaluru. This procession was to be held from Vidhan Sauha to M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Earlier the police did not allow this. But, at 3 pm, RCB informed about it on social media that there will be a parade.
When this celebration was happening on Wednesday, there was a stampede outside the stadium due to a huge crowd. In this, 11 people died and 33 were injured.
After this, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah directed to arrest the officers of RCB, DNA and Karnataka Cricket Association.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Many senior police officers including Dayanand have been suspended. The government has formed a judicial inquiry committee of a person to investigate this accident, which will be led by retired judge Michael D’Kunha. They have been asked to report in 30 days.
RCB is also being accused that even after the accident, he continued the celebrations inside the stadium.
On Thursday, RCB announced assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the families of 11 people killed in the accident. Also, a fund named ‘RCB Cares’ has also been made for 33 injured.
