Delhi: Indian team’s veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin surprised everyone by suddenly announcing his retirement after the Gabba Test. Ashwin returned to India the very next day after his retirement and after coming here he gave a big statement. The former player said that even though he has left playing for Team India, he will continue playing cricket. Ashwin clearly said that he will now play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and he wishes that he can play more and more for this team. He also said that his career as a cricketer is not over, but he wants to continue playing for a long time.

Ashwin said, “I will now play for Chennai Super Kings and want to play for this team for a long time. My time for Team India is over, but my journey as a cricketer will continue.”
After this, when he was asked whether it was difficult for him to take retirement, he replied, “It was not a difficult decision for me. Many people consider it emotional, but for me it was relieving and comforting. This idea came to my mind on the fourth day of the GABA test and I implemented it on the fifth day.”
Let us tell you that Ashwin will now be seen playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025. Chennai has bought him for a huge price of Rs 9.75 crore. Ashwin had played for CSK earlier also, but after that he played for Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR), now he has returned once again.
