Delhi: In the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) wicketkeeper batsman Ishaan Kishan started in a bang, when he hit 106 runs off 47 balls in his first match. After this, even though he did not get out of his bat in some matches, but his match against RCB in Lucknow on 23 May showed his match -winning innings that he has the ability to change the match at any time.

Former Australian cricketer and former SRH coach Tom Moody also praised Kishan’s innings. In a conversation with ESPN Cricinfo, Moody said, “He must have realized that his season has not been good, even though he had started with the beginning. We were talking about it, and it is certain that it will be discussing it within the franchise too. We should keep them, do we retain them, what to do, what to do, how to move forward?”

He further said, “I think he made it very clear today that if there was any doubt, he is no longer – he is being retained. His confidence impressed me, and his constant aggressive game, all this got better when he was getting help from the other end.”

Significantly, SRH has won only five out of 13 matches so far this season and they are ranked 8th in the points table. He has already been out of the playoff race.
