Delhi: After the 3-1 defeat in the recently concluded Test series in Australia, the Indian team wants to make a fresh start in the T20 series against England with the same thinking. The good thing is that most of the players of this team were not part of Australia’s losing team, so there will not be much pressure on them.

This time the captaincy of the Indian T-20 team is in the hands of Suryakumar Yadav. The team wants to win this series at any cost. Team vice-captain Akshar Patel said after the practice session at Eden Gardens, “Whatever has happened, it cannot come back. We have to enter the next series with positive thinking. Our team is stable and trusting each other is very important. Taking right decisions at the right time is also important.”
The first match of the five-match T20 match series between India and England will be played on January 22 at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. The performance in this series will decide the direction of the team’s World Cup preparations.
