Delhi: After a poor performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, there were reports that Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) could release its captain Rishabh Pant before IPL 2026. A X (first Twitter) user claimed that LSG is considering to get them out of the team due to their heavy price tag of Rs 27 crore.
However, Pant immediately reacted to this and dismissed these rumors outright. Describing such news as ‘fake news’, he appealed to the user to post responsibly.

Rishabh Pant was bought by Lucknow Super Giants in the mega auction of IPL 2025 for Rs 27 crore. This IPL was the biggest dialect in history. Pant had to make a new start with the new team, but his performance was very disappointing.
