Pant was a victim of a serious accident on the Delhi-Dehradun road on 30 December 2022. His car caught fire, and he was seriously injured in this accident. After this accident, he had to undergo many surgery. Pant told that at that time Ashish Nehra gave him a necessary advice. Nehra said that he has suffered a lot of injuries, and now he can do only one thing – keep himself happy. This advice proved to be very helpful for Pant.

Help in recovering from injury

Pant further said that this advice helped him a lot in recovering from his injury. He believes that this advice was very useful for him. Pant had to go through a hard rehabilitation of one year to overcome his injury. He returned to competitive cricket during the IPL and then returned to international cricket through the T20 World Cup.

Mental conflict during injury

Pant said that since childhood he has been playing cricket day and night, but when he was recovering from injury, it was very difficult to keep himself stable. His condition was such that he could not even brush himself. He had to accept that he could not get out of this condition in a day or two.
